Can Clothing Can Cause Ingrown Hair?

Tight clothes, like leggings, can cause ingrown hair problems. The logical explanation, tight clothing, like leggings compress your hair against your body most of the time, and the chances of getting an ingrown hair increase. This is especially true if you happen to be post bikini wax. Squeezing upper thighs and bikini area with a tight pair of leggings or skinny jeans could result in a very uncomfortable situation and even unhealthy infection.

An ingrown hair is a hair that curls back on itself and starts growing back into the follicle, or a hair that fails to grow out of the follicle and stays embedded in the skin. Ingrown hairs are usually just minor irritations, but they can be painful and unsightly. What's more, if they are left untreated ingrown hairs can become infected. Unfortunately, almost everybody will get one at some time, and if you shave regularly, you may have to deal with ingrown hairs quite frequently.

Here’s where PFB Vanish comes to the rescue! PFB Vanish™ is a gentle, cosmetically elegant roll-on gel, formulated for ingrown hairs, burn and bumps from shaving, waxing, tweezing, electrolysis, and laser hair removal. PFB Vanish has three key exfoliating ingredients – salicylic, glycolic and lactic acids, and moisturizing and soothing ingredients like willow bark and camphor oil. PFB Vanish is safe to use every day and is available in a travel-friendly 2 ounce size for $15.00 and 4 ounces for $21.00.

PFB Vanish + ChromaBright is MAGIC!
I have been suffering from discoloration on both my underarms and private area as well as unsightly ingrown hairs. The esthetician at the Brazilian Wax salon I frequent, advised me to try PFB Vanish + ChromaBright. It has only been a month and a half of using it twice daily and she was so shocked to see that I have NO MORE INGROWN HAIRS!!! It worked so much faster than either of us had imagined. My skin is lightening and she said my hairs came out much smoother today. If you have ingrown hairs, this stuff is a MUST!!! I am sold!!!!

Shae, GA

One client's bikini zone (pubic bone and inner thigh) was very discolored. Large patches and shades of brown on what should have been white skin.  (Similar to a pregnancy mask stain found on a woman's  face). It has cleared up by 99% within 2 months.

Better than Tend Skin. I have been using for the past few years after a new aesthetician turned me onto this. It seems to work better for post-wax care than Tend Skin, which was always too strong, drying and irritating to the delicate skin of my bikini line.
Within a few days to a week, I find that PFB usually helps to release any ingrowns and keeps me away from my tweezers.

Best ingrown hair treatment!
I have been using this product for the last 5 years and it is the best thing I have found to control my ingrown hairs after waxing. I used to use Tend Skin but I did not find it as effective as PFB. It has not completely gotten rid of ALL of my ingrowns but they are definitely under control!

What Are Dark Spots
Dark spots on the skin, also know as hyperpigmentation, un-even skin tone, or discoloration is a common skin problem. It affects mainly affects people of color and middle aged individuals. However, anyone can develop dark spots resulting from a variety of causes.

post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation: Dark spots that arise from skin trauma such as acne and other skin infections.

Melasma: This is also known as chloasma or the mask or pregnancy.  Although the cause of melasma is unkown, there are several known factors that contribute to this common pigmentary disorder. Some of these factors include: pregnancy, exposure to UV light, oral contraceptives, and a genetic predisposition.

Tips for Preventing Dark Spots

1.   Don’t pick at your acne. Doing so will cause dark spots and even scarring.

2.  Wear Sunscreen every day, even in the winter! Exposure to UV light can lead to dark spots.

3.  Make sure your bra isn’t too tight. This can cause “bra burn”, a type of hyperpigmentation that can lead to dark spots.

4.   When shaving or waxing use products that will diminish dark spots and help prevent new ones.

Try PFB Vanish with Chromabright to aid in the relief of dark spots cause by hair removal.

Or try Step 2 - Lumen8™ LOTION: With Chromabright© to visibly reverse the appearance of dark spots, age spots, melasma (pregnancy mask), sun damage and post acne scars.

Clinical studies show that Lumen8 was 45.9% more effective than Kojic Acid, Arbutin and Hydroquinone and in addition was able to inhibit tyrosinase activity by 37%.Lumen8 possesses a photo-protective effect on epidermal keratinocytes, helping to prevent the skin damage caused by UV radiation.

3 Shaving Mistakes to Avoid

1. Using Multiple Blade Razors

You don't need a razor with multiple blades to achieve a close shave. In fact, multiple blade razors cut the hair under the skin which raises the probability that the hair will get caught underneath the skin. When this occurs, the hair bends back and re-grows under the skin in a condition called ingrown hairs. When left untreated, ingrown hairs can cause infections, dark spots and scarring. Instead, always use a single blade razor. Just make sure that the razor isn't dull. Lightly exfoliating the skin will help prevent ingrown hairs as well.

    2. Leaving Your Razor In The Shower

Many of us shave in the shower, but that doesn't make the shower a suitable place to leave your razor. Leaving your razor in the shower allows bacteria to build up on the surface. Instead, soak the blade in alcohol.

3. Shaving Dry

Shaving with dry skin will cause razor burn and rash. Make sure your skin is sufficiently wet before shaving. It's a good idea to start shaving a few minutes into a shower or bath.

Get relief from ingrown hairs, razor burn, and bumps with PFB Vanish.

Try PFB Vanish with Chromabright to diminish dark spots caused by ingrown hairs.
